The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced today that Turkish Airlines Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, has assumed his duties as Member of the IATA Board of Governors for a three-year term effective from the conclusion of the 78th IATA Annual General Meeting in Doha, the State of Qatar.
With the decision, Prof. Dr. Bolat will represent again Turkish Airlines as a Member of the IATA Board of Governors (BoG).
Expressing his appreciation on this conclusion, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat said; "I hereby would like to thank to IATA Board of Governors for electing me for this valuable mission as the Board Chairman of Turkish Airlines. As the leading actors in airline business, we believe the value of solidarity and collaboration between partners especially during these times that the global aviation enters in an active post-Covid rebound. As the national flag carrier of Türkiye, we are confident that we will successfully fulfill the responsibilities associated with our new assignment through our solid expertise and professional background.”
Being the Chairman of Turkish Airlines as of end of January 2022, Prof. Dr. Bolat has a broad experience in strategy development, fleet investment & planning, commercial partnerships and Alliance coordination within Turkish Airlines for almost 17 years.
