Angola is the host country of the 53rd edition of the AASA (Airlines Association of Southern Africa) Annual General Assembly, a major event within the industry aiming to address the challenges ahead the civil aviation in Africa.
TAAG Angola Airlines is the co-organizer of the 53rd edition of the AASA (Airlines Association of Southern Africa) Annual General Assembly, while the event is set to take place in Luanda from October 5 to 8, bringing the industry together for key discussions and networking.
This is the first time that Angola is hosting the event gathering key stakeholders from the ecosystem, namely, airlines, regulators, manufacturers, service providers, investors, diplomatic representations, and government entities.
The AASA conference is a privileged platform for networking and strengthening bilateral relations between industry players, providing the Angolan aviation ecosystem, and the country, the opportunity to promote its valences to the international community.
October 6 in particular is reserved for the roundtable sessions to an audience of more than 200 delegates and top decision-makers. Thus, several topics will be covered namely (but not limited to): competitive environment, connectivity, financing, supply chain, operating costs, regulatory aspects, growth, and sustainability of African airlines.
AASA is a regional association that brings together African airlines based south of the equator. AASA’s responsibility includes the representation of SADC-based airlines on the SADC Civil Aviation Committee as the Airline Consultative Member.
There are currently 16 Airline Members: TAAG, Air Austral, Air Botswana, Airlink, Air Zimbabwe, Congo Airways, Eswatini Air, Federal Airlines, FlyCobra, FlySafair, LAM Mozambique Airlines, LIFT, Mango Airlines, Mozambique Express, Proflight Zambia, South African Airways.
Furthermore, there are currently 35 associate members from business areas directly or indirectly correlated to aviation.
AASA is also a regular participant and contributor to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) initiatives in the region.

Good location astounding but the staffs are rude and they make me wait so long for the service. They charge me more than what is on the website and did not refund me the manager is not helping with the issue
