Qatar Airways Touches Down in Kano and Port Harcourt

Qatar Airways has expanded its presence in Nigeria with the launch of new service to Kano on 2 March 2022, and new service to Port Harcourt on 3 March 2022.

The new service was inaugurated by the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

The aircraft were greeted by traditional water cannon salutes at both the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano as well as the Port Harcourt International Airport, upon their historic arrival.

Flights to Kano will be operated four times a week, while flights to Port Harcourt will be operated three times a week. Both flights will be linked to the airline's existing service to Abuja.

Meanwhile, Port Harcourt, the largest city and capital of Rivers State, Nigeria will be served via Port Harcourt International Airport a diverse and fast-moving city on the southern tip of Nigeria.

Qatar Airways offers double-daily flights to Lagos and daily services to Abuja. Kano and Port Harcourt bring the number of Qatar Airways flight to Africa to 188 weekly flights serving 28 destinations across the continent.

Qatar Airways continues to apply its flexible booking policy that offers unlimited changes to travel dates and destinations, and fee-free refunds for all tickets issued for travel completed by 31 May 2022.

Passengers flying to Kano and Port Harcourt will also benefit from Qatar Airways’ generous baggage allowances which provides for up to 46kg in Economy class, split over two pieces, and 64kg in Business Class, split over two pieces.
