Four Seasons Marrakech Unveils Stunning Renovations for Spring

Chidozie Uzoezie

As the vibrant colours of spring return to Marrakech, Four Seasons Resort Marrakech welcomes guests to newly reimagined spaces. The resort’s latest renovations include the unveiling of the Presidential Suite, with breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, and the Four-Bedroom Royal Villa, designed for unforgettable gatherings. These refreshed accommodations, along with enhancements across the resort, blend Moroccan artistry with contemporary comfort.

Designs Inspired by Moroccan Heritage

The resort’s renovations seamlessly combine traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury, enhancing the inviting atmosphere and offering guests a culturally immersive experience with modern comforts for rest and relaxation.

Elegant Headboards for Restful Nights

The newly designed headboards combine style and function, featuring the Four Seasons Signature Sleep Collection. Inspired by the intricate musharabiehs, which evoke the window designs of traditional Moroccan riads, and the muqarnas, recalling the ceiling decorations of Moroccan palaces, these headboards bring a touch of Moroccan craftsmanship into the room.

Some are crafted from leather, reflecting the fine art of Moroccan leatherwork, while others draw on the rich traditions of Moroccan woodworking - from the delicate artistry of Fez to the rustic charm of the High Atlas. These design elements, enhanced by soft lighting, create an ambient glow that adds comfort and serenity, offering a peaceful atmosphere ideal for a restful night’s sleep. This harmonious integration of craftsmanship and light is an essential part of the resort’s Sleepcation experience, focusing on rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Lamps That Capture Marrakech’s Glow

Inspired by traditional Moroccan metalwork, the room’s lamps are not just lighting fixtures but works of art. Drawing influence from Morocco’s exquisite jewellery craftsmanship, these lamps feature intricate designs that reflect the country’s rich artistic heritage.

When lit, they cast captivating geometric patterns that evoke the shadows of the souks and the vibrant play of light in the medina’s narrow alleyways. These lamps not only add warmth and character to the space but also enhance the sensory experience, capturing the essence of Marrakech’s glow in every corner.

A Palette Inspired by Marrakech’s Landscape

Soft desert tones, terracotta hues, and deep garden greens draw inspiration from the natural and architectural beauty of the city. These colours reflect the warmth of the desert, the rich earthy tones of Marrakech’s buildings, and the lushness of its iconic gardens.

Gentle blues, inspired by the sky and water of Morocco, bring a sense of calm and balance, creating a peaceful atmosphere that mirrors the tranquillity of the surrounding landscape. These tones can be found mostly on the carpets, as well as the textiles of the sofas and cushions, weaving the spirit of Marrakech into every corner of the space and offering a serene, natural retreat.

Artworks That Tell a Story

Each room features carefully selected artwork that celebrates Morocco’s rich craft heritage. From the deep greens of Tamegroute pottery to the symbolic motifs found in High Atlas ceramics, these pieces bring authenticity and depth to the décor. Bespoke wall art takes inspiration from traditional Moroccan caftans and Moroccan carpets, weaving the essence of the country’s textile traditions into every space.

Some designs even echo the changing seasons, capturing the view of the Atlas Mountains and bringing the beauty of nature indoors. These artworks not only enhance the visual appeal but also tell the story of Morocco’s cultural richness, creating a truly immersive experience for guests.

Handmade Zellige Tiles

The resort’s dedication to Moroccan craftsmanship is beautifully showcased through its use of handmade zellige tiles by Sania Ceramic, led by the talented artists Amine Amsellem and Rita Rivera. These tiles, originating from Fez, are known for their precise geometry and vibrant colours, adding a timeless Moroccan touch to the interiors.

Zellige is an ancient art form with two main techniques: the traditional method from Fez, known for its intricate geometric patterns and vibrant, glazed finishes, and the technique from Tetouan, which involves a different approach to both design and colour, creating a unique aesthetic. These handcrafted tiles not only celebrate the skill and artistry of Moroccan artisans but also serve as a striking reminder of the country’s rich cultural legacy.

The Redesigned Luxurious Accommodations

The Royal Villa: A Haven for Gatherings

Designed for families and friends, the newly completed Four-Bedroom Royal Villa offers an unparalleled retreat. Each of the four bedrooms features a private en-suite bathroom, ensuring both comfort and privacy.

Expansive indoor and outdoor living areas provide the perfect setting for unforgettable stays. Whether relaxing by the private lap pool, unwinding in the outdoor hot tub, or gathering around the fireplace in the grand central lounge, every moment in this villa is designed for relaxation and connection.

The Presidential Suite: Breathtaking Views and Timeless Elegance

One of the most prestigious accommodations at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, the Presidential Suite captures the essence of refined living. Its two-bedroom layout offers ample space, complemented by a private terrace that boasts one of the resort’s most spectacular panoramas. Guests can take in sweeping views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and the historic Menara olive groves before cozying up by the fireplace in the inviting lounge.

The Pavilion Villas: A Garden Sanctuary with a Private Plunge Pool

Blending seamlessly with the resort’s lush gardens, the Pavilion Villa offers an intimate and tranquil escape. Each villa features walled-in private terraces, providing direct access to the resort pool and gardens.

Guests can enjoy moments of serenity in their heated private plunge pool, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Light-filled interiors and contemporary Moroccan design elements make these ground-floor suites a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication.

With these thoughtful renovations, Four Seasons Resort Marrakech invites guests to experience a seamless blend of modern luxury and cultural heritage, setting the stage for a memorable spring 2025 season.
