Delta Ranked Number 1 Airline By JUST Capital and CNBC

Delta has been recognized by JUST Capital and CNBC as one of the top transportation companies and the No. 1 airline on the annual list of JUST 100, which measures and ranks companies on the issues Americans care about most.

This year’s top considerations for rankings were: paying fair, living wages; supporting worker well-being; career advancement, training, and work life balance; communicating transparently; strengthening communities; ethical leadership; and treating customers fairly. The airline ranked 67th on the global list of companies. 

“This honor from JUST 100 is, at its core, a recognition of the way Delta cares for our people,” said Chief People Officer Allison Ausband. “We listen to our people and respond to their needs through tools like our annual engagement survey – and we look for new ways to care for them to support their physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.” 

Delta was the only airline ranked and had strong performance in how the company invests in its people, how it treats its customers, and its work to minimize its environmental impact. This comes as Delta celebrates its Centennial and a century of groundbreaking aviation milestones, all powered by the Delta people.  

Delta leads the way in some of JUST 100’s top issues: 

• Delta people will share in our profits once again with $1.4 billion in profit sharing – representing an average of five weeks of pay for eligible employees. Delta people’s payout is more than that of all other carriers combined. 

• Delta people remain the highest paid in our industry in overall total compensation – staying true to our commitment and compensation philosophy.   

• An Emergency Savings Program that helps Delta people strengthen their financial wellness through online instruction, one-on-one coaching and an emergency savings safety net. Eligible employees can earn up to $1,000 for their rainy-day accounts. 

• Skills-First approach to hiring, which creates equitable and merit-based access to career opportunities by considering skills as equivalencies to education.  

• Community impact initiatives that our Delta people love to dedicate time to better care for the communities we serve and the people within it, including making aviation education more accessible and mobilizing after disaster. 

• Commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 through decarbonizing its operations and reporting on our progress annually, like with Delta’s efforts to reduce fuel consumption.
