Dana Air Decorates New Captains, Reiterates Safety Standards

Nigeria's Dana Air has promoted two members of its flight crew to the rank of captain, while urging them to sustain its safety standards.

Speaking during the decoration of Senior First Officers Jonathan Okoli and Tosin Ayeni as Captains, Dana Air's Chief Operating Officer, Ememobong Ettete, said "this upgrade is well-deserved having scaled the requirements to be promoted to the rank of a captain."

"The rank of a captain comes with enormous responsibility. Not everyone can achieve this feat because you have to prove yourself overtime and pass all the necessary safety requirements and training to be promoted to this rank  and Dana Air will continue to reward excellence, professionalism and hardwork."

The newly promoted captains reassured Dana Air that they will continue to fly safely in accordance with global best practices and maintain the airline's safety standards while thanking the airline for elevating only on the basis of merit.
