Beauty and Art Meet at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech

Four Seasons Resort Marrakech has announced a unique art exhibition that will mark an exceptional moment in the art world. Artists Keya and Bernard Touati are joining forces to offer the public a unique artistic experience at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech. The opening of this captivating exhibition will take place on October 20, 2023.

The exhibition, titled The Convergence of Worlds, transcends the boundaries of individual art by creating a harmonious dialogue between two distinct artistic universes.

Just as the recently renovated rooms and suites at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech combine the legendary comfort of Four Seasons bedding with the abundant light of Marrakech and draw their design inspiration from the elegance, vibrant colours and refinement characteristic of Morocco, this exhibition embodies the harmonious fusion of two worlds.

The artworks featured in this exhibition are not merely paintings; they are windows into a world of creativity and beauty. Hidden messages and subtly integrated words in the canvases bear witness to the soul of each artist.

Keya and Bernard Touati, although working with different materials and techniques, manage to deliver a shared artistic vision that surprises and sparks the imagination of each viewer. This exhibition highlights their artistic dialogue, marked by convergent proposals and boundless creativity.

Keya, born in Bourgoin-Jallieu, France in 1974, has always been drawn to old objects, weathered patinas, and the passage of time. His experience as a deminer during his military service in the Balkans in 1992 marked a turning point in his life, igniting a deep desire for colours.

From 1997 to 2000, he developed a unique technique of reducing all the materials that interested him, including rust, wine, charcoal, earth, wood, and other vegetation, into pigments.

Bernard Touati, a renowned and internationally recognized dentist, has always pursued a parallel career as a painter. His works have been exhibited from Saint-Germain-des-Prés to Moscow, including at UNESCO in Paris. After completing his professional career, he returned to his homeland and settled in Marrakech, where he shared an artists’ studio with Keya.

The exciting concept of a dual Convergence exhibition emerged after an exhibition in May 2023 in Sidi Ghanem (Keya Gallery). The exhibition will continue until April 20, 2024, in the lobby of Four Seasons Resort Marrakech.
