voco® Oxford Spires has re-branded under IHG’s newest upscale brand voco™, offering a modern, stylish and unstuffy hotel experience for guests.
The 181- room refurbished hotel embodies the characteristics of voco™ with exclusive features and distinctive hallmarks, setting it apart for a memorable stay.
Located alongside the River Thames and on University College Oxford grounds, the hotel is surrounded by rural beauty whilst only being a 10-minute walk away from the historic city centre of Oxford.
Built 20 years ago, the property was designed by local builder John Ede and businessman Brian Murtyr, but buildings on the grounds such as Eastwyke Farmhouse date back as far as the 15th Century.
The University College Oxford boathouse is close by, so guests might catch a glimpse of the team training for the annual boat race against Cambridge University.
Every guest will experience the voco™ signature ‘come on in’ warm welcome, promising a swift and simple check in, with dedicated voco™ hosts available throughout the guest’s stay as resident experts and a locally inspired welcome treat – an orange marmalade chocolate tart.
Unique to the hotel, the tart honours Frank Cooper’s Orange Marmalade which was made in Oxford.
Inspired by its surroundings, voco® Oxford Spires blends Cotswold stone with contemporary interiors throughout to hotel to leave guests with a lasting impression.
The hotel guest rooms benefit from the voco™ design concept with thoughtful comforts like cosy bedding made from 100% recycled materials, Aveda amenities in larger dispenser bottles with naturally derived ingredients, and fast Wi-Fi so guests can relax and indulge in some ‘me time’ when they stay at voco™.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
