Brussels Airlines has started rolling out its brand new Premium Economy Class as well as renewed Business Class and Economy Class, on its flights to and from Africa.
To better serve all of its travelers, the airline recently introduced a “boutique hotel in the air”, a brand new travel experience in its retrofitted A330 aircraft.
The new Premium Economy was introduced on Kinshasa and Luanda routes on 1 October. On 1 November, it was introduced on flights to Kigali, Entebbe, Bujumbura, Freetown, and Monrovia.
As more retrofitted aircraft enter the fleet, the new class will gradually be rolled out to more African destinations including Dakar, Banjul, Conakry on 13 January, Douala and Yaounde on 1 February, 2010.
In the second quarter of 2020, flights to Abidjan, Ouagadougou, Cotonou, Accra and Lome will operate with the new Premium Economy Class from mid-May.
The completely new Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins offer passengers a personal experience, recreating a boutique hotel feel at 30,000 feet.
With a focus on comfort, personal space and hospitality, Premium Economy aims to respond to customers who want to have a high quality service and superior comfort, but do not wish to pay a Business Class fare.
In Premium Economy, customers enjoy 23% more legroom than Economy Class, a wider seat with a bigger headrest and a generous 40° seat recline. Premium Economy is separated from the other cabins for maximum privacy and rest.
With 84 weekly flights and 17 destinations in sub-Saharan Africa, the African continent remains Brussels Airlines’ most important market.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
