Hilton Garden Inn Expands in Africa with New Hotels

Chidozie Uzoezie

Hilton Garden Inn is celebrating strong growth in Africa with four open properties and additional 14 in the pipeline just three years after opening its first hotel on the continent in 2016.

Many of these properties represent first-in-country openings for Hilton Garden Inn and for the Hilton enterprise as a whole, including Botswana, Zambia and Uganda.

The hotels are built in the Hilton Garden Inn tradition featuring modern guest rooms perfect for work and comfort. Guests may unwind in a relaxing social setting, enjoying handcrafted cocktails, light bites or dinner.

The Shop, a 24-hour, grab-and-go retail space, offers an upscale mix of healthy, indulgent and fresh foods, varietal beverages and a self-serve specialty coffee bar.

Hilton Garden Inn has four properties and nearly 800 rooms open in Africa, including Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Center Morocco, Hilton Garden Inn Nairobi Airport Kenya, Hilton Garden Inn Lusaka Society Business Park Zambia, and Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone, Botswana.

With 14 hotels and nearly 2,400 rooms in the Africa pipeline, Hilton Garden Inn will welcome several first-in-country properties over the next few years in the region.

Hilton Garden Inn Kampala in Uganda and Hilton Garden Inn Mbabane in Swaziland are in the pipeline to open this month while Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek Namibia will open later this year.

Other African countries in the Hilton Garden Inn pipeline include Malawi, Uganda, Ghana, Egypt, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review about ethiopian airlines in your post. I am an avid traveller and keep reading flight reviews to assess the options available. Your review particularly drew my attention because you have shared so many pictures to capture every aspect of the flight experience. It is a very nice effort.

I am really tempted to book the next ethiopian airlines ticket and relive your journey. The pictures shared with the post also reflect that you truly enjoyed the travel. Great post! I also like the fact that you have covered nuances about the food and entertainment service through the pictures. It helps people know what to expect on their travel by this airline.
