Sea Fu at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is taking guests on a culinary journey through Asia, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of a different destination each month.

The restaurant’s chefs have delved deep into the history, geography, traditions and religions of each destination to create a unique and delicious voyage through the region.

The journey begins in Tokyo, Japan with Washoku, and included famed influences such as green tea and sakura to showcase the diversity of authentic Japanese food and prove why Japan has become a culinary destination to rival to France and Italy.

Next will be Vietnam which has one of the most diverse, delicious and healthy gastronomies in the world. The main ingredients used are rice and its derivatives, fish sauce and vegetables.

Thanks to its tropical climate, the long coast that runs the entirety of the right side of the country and the lofty mountain range, Vietnam is blessed with numerous varieties of plants and produce.

From dishes eaten across the archipelago to lesser known foods found in remote Indonesian islands, in January 2019, Sea Fu’s expert chefs will offer an unparalleled dining experience that will treat guests to the rich, authentic and historic island cuisine.

There’s a sage Chinese proverb: "Preserve the old, but know the new." In February 2019, to mark Chinese New Year, Sea Fu’s chefs will embark on an adventure across China, and the menu keeps this wisdom at the forefront.

Thai cuisine is made up of the delicate and unique balance of five flavours: sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy. Each dish also often has strong aromatic notes with a slightly spicy taste.

In March 2019, Sea Fu’s chefs will prepare a menu that combines street food, the famed floating markets and the vast tropics of the region to serve some of the regions most famed dishes.

In Korea, unlike anywhere else in the world – food is everywhere. Korea shares many similarities with other Asian cuisines such as the importance of rice and vegetables and cooking methods such as stir-frying, steaming, and braising.

In April 2019, Sea Fu invites guests to come and share food in a convivial atmosphere and do as the Korean’s do.

Sea Fu’s chefs will explore Malaysia as their final stop in May 2019. A country that champions vibrant, diverse and healthy cuisine, the culinary style is a complex fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Muslim techniques and flavours.

Four Seasons invites guests to follow Sea Fu to the far flung shores of Japan, then China, all the way down through the tropical islands of Indonesia and up to Vietnam and then Thailand before venturing into Korea and completing the journey in Malaysia.
