To celebrate its 85th anniversary, Air France is honouring its teams and its capacity for innovation with numerous initiatives organized together with its staff, with special flights, entertainment at the airport, sporting events, exhibitions and more.

On October 7, 2018, Air France will celebrate the 85th anniversary of its creation and will be launching a few months of festivities on the theme of innovation in all its forms within a company which is resolutely looking to the future.

The programme includes a special fare offer, special flights and entertainment at the airport as well as a sporting event organised by Air France teams to celebrate together and with the company's customers its unique heritage, its network, its areas of activity, its know-how and its capacity for innovation. By the end of the year, Air France will also give the general public a behind-the-scenes look of a flight with an exceptional exhibition.

The celebration of Air France's 85th anniversary will be based on four key events:

Numerous Air France destinations at 85 euros

From October 5 to 8, 2018, to celebrate this anniversary period, customers will be able to enjoy exceptional fare offers to numerous French and European destinations at 85 euros including tax per round trip. To benefit from this offer as from today, go to https://www.airfrance.com.

A glimpse into Air France's heritage

From October 5 to 8, Air France's heritage and innovative spirit over the years will be in the spotlight. “Vintage” flights and entertainment in the boarding lounge and in the Air France lounges are planned with initiatives led by the company's staff, with cabin crew in period uniforms, exhibitions of historical photos, special touches such as the distribution of postcards and sweets, as well as many other surprises for customers travelling on certain Air France flights during this four-day period.

The return flights AF022 and AF023 on October 5 and 7 between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-JFK will launch the festivities with a crew in period uniforms and special touches for customers.

On Monday October 8, 2018, customers travelling on flights AF1062/AF1063 between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Stockholm and on flights AF6104/AF6115 between Paris-Orly and Toulouse will also be able to enjoy these “vintage” events.

350 staff members at the start of the 20 km race through Paris

On October 14, 2018, to celebrate this anniversary in a sporting way, a team of 350 Air France employees will start the 20 km race in Paris at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and run in Air France colours. This will be an opportunity for all Air France employees to come and cheer on their colleagues and to promote the sporting and team spirit that motivates all Air France staff.

An exceptional exhibition

Finally, before the end of the year, the company will offer the public a unique experience by inviting them to an exceptional behind-the-scenes exhibition spotlighting the company’s innovative spirit and technological prowess at the service of its customers.
