Taj Cape Town’s Mint restaurant is set to sizzle with a new look and a revitalized menu, in time for the Cape’s sunny summer season. Mint, which spills out into St George’s Mall from the cosy confines of Cape Town’s most luxurious city hotel, offers a host of all-day dining options for hotel guests and visitors, alike. The makeover will be in two phases. Phase One will see the unpretentious dining room extended onto the Mall with a new Terrace, offering comfortable couch seating, suspended umbrellas and a modern bistro-inspired feel, making it the perfect spot for a summer cocktail or fabulous dinner. The Mint Terrace will take the ‘inside, outside’ - shaded by the Mall’s trees and highlighted by pops of colour, the Terrace promises to be the best place in the city to relax and people-watch on the vibrant St George’s Mall. It’s the perfect ‘First Thursdays’ rendezvous spot after a stroll around the city, to enjoy the sights and sounds of the monthly Night Market over a welcome meal. Phase Two will see the restaurant’s interior invigorated with splashes of cool colour and chic décor to match the relaxed atmosphere of the Mint Terrace. The internationally-inspired menu will also have a fresh look soon, with Executive Chef David Tilly and his team working to deliver an accessible, comfort food-driven offering that reflects the cosmopolitan nature of Taj Cape Town. The unpretentious menu will offer an additional pick-me-up for people living, working and visiting the city, with an array of Mediterranean, Indian and Braai-inspired lunch buffet options between October and December. In addition to the current menu, Mint also offer a range of daily specials all of which include a 500ml Devil’s Peak draught beer, or glass of house wine. Mint’s revitalization is currently underway and Phase One – the opening of the Mint Terrace - is expected to be completed shortly, with a dazzling opening event scheduled for 18 September.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
