Shortlists Announced for Routes Africa 2018 Marketing Awards


Ten airports and five tourism authorities have been recognised by the airline network planning community for their outstanding marketing support.

For over a decade, the Routes Africa Marketing Awards have been regarded as some of the most prestigious accolades within the route development community. The awards recognise excellence in airport and destination marketing.

Following a competitive month of voting, airline executives have voted for the following ten airports and five tourism organisations for their exceptional marketing support.

The shortlists:

Airports Under 4 million

Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport Hosea Kutako International Airport Kigali International Airport Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport Agadir - Al Massira Airport

Airports 4-20 Million Passengers

Cape Town International Airport Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Lagos International Airport Cairo International Airport Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport

Destination Authorities

Cape Town Air Access Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority Seychelles Tourism Board Cape Verde Tourism Kenya Tourism Board

The shortlisted organisations have been contacted and asked to provide a submission, which will then be reviewed by a panel of senior airline executives.

The winners will then be announced at the Routes Africa Networking Evening on Tuesday 17 July in Accra, Ghana.

Good location astounding but the staffs are rude and they make me wait so long for the service. They charge me more than what is on the website and did not refund me the manager is not helping with the issue

I spent the holidays here, I don't know why but during the holidays their reception smells like a piss Id rather not spend my special occasions here

I am really tempted to book the next ethiopian airlines ticket and relive your journey. The pictures shared with the post also reflect that you truly enjoyed the travel. Great post!
