Emirates will resume flight operations between Dubai International and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Nigeria on 15 December, 2017 with a four-weekly service.
On the same date, Emirates will also increase frequency on its Dubai-Lagos service by reinstating its second daily service which it axed in 2016.
The service to Abuja as well as the second daily service to Lagos will be operated using 360-seat Boeing 777-300ER featuring 8 private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat Business Class seats and 310 Economy Class seats.
The added Lagos flight EK781 will depart Dubai at 0355hrs and arrive Lagos at 0905hrs. The return flight EK782 will depart Lagos at 1240hrs and arrive in Dubai at 2255hrs.
Abuja flight EK785 will depart Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 1035hrs and arrive Abuja at 1535hrs. Return flight EK786 will depart Abuja at 1855hrs and arrive Dubai at 0435hrs the next day.
By operating a double daily service to Lagos and four weekly flights to Abuja, Emirates will offer travellers in Nigeria convenient and comfortable access to Dubai, and onwards to other destinations on its network.
Emirates first launched services to Nigeria on 2 January 2004 with four weekly from Dubai to Lagos linked with Accra in Ghana, using an A330-200. The service was increased to six weekly flights just after a year.
Following further demand, the service became a daily operation in October 2005. On 1 January 2006, Lagos was delinked from Accra and became a direct service to Dubai.
Emirates currently operates one daily flight between Dubai and Lagos after it suspended its second daily service to Lagos and stopped flying to Abuja last year due irregularities in foreign exchange.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
