There are strong indications that Emirates will soon resume flight operations between Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Abuja the capital city of Nigeria in November this year.
Nigeria’s Minister of State Aviation, Hadi Sirika announced this via his Twitter account earlier this week, saying Emirates had agreed to resume flights to Abuja following a meeting with the airline's top officials.
According to Sirika, Emirates is also planning to reintroduce a second service to Lagos via Kano.
Emirates did not respond to a tweet sent by The Afritraveller to confirm the news.
Emirates had in October, 2016 stopped flying to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja due to what it described as irregularities in the controversial foreign currency repatriation policy of Nigeria.
Emirates operated the Dubai-Abuja service 4 times a week using the Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The service had been slated to increase to daily from 5 December, 2016.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
