TAP Air Portugal, the flag carrier airline of Portugal, has launched new discount fares on long-haul flights offering lower prices for passengers travelling without checked-in baggage.
Passengers on long-haul flights have already began travelling with the new TAP fares from 1 September, if they purchased their trip after 4 April 2017, or after 1 August in the case of the Brazilian market.
The main feature of these new fares is choice flexibility which allows passengers to choose the fare that best serves the purpose of their trip, only paying for the type of product they want.
Just like the tariffs TAP announced last September for travel within Europe and North Africa, passengers can now also travel to and from Africa, Brazil and North America without hold baggage, making travel easier and cheaper.
Passengers now have four options for intercontinental travel in economy class and two in executive class, meaning there are six fares with different services and offers.
For those who like to travel with hand baggage only, the new Discount fare is a good option with very competitive prices.
Passengers who cannot travel without at least one item of hold baggage will be able to choose the Basic fare and those who wish to reserve their seat on board may choose the Classic fare, which also offers two items of hold baggage.
For those who want more baggage, comfort and flexibility, the Plus fare gives them the option of reserving a front row seat, three items of hold baggage, priority check-in and flexibility in ticket changes, among other advantages. Clients may also purchase extra services at any time, regardless of the fare they have acquired.
In executive class, the Executive fare offers all the comfort at more attractive prices, allowing access to the lounge and premium boarding. This fare also provides the Valet Parking service in Lisbon and Porto free of charge and it lets you earn more miles.
From its hub at Lisbon International Airport, TAP Portugal flies to 88 domestic and international destinations including 16 destinations in 11 African countries.
In July, this year, TAP Portugal commenced a five weekly Nonstop service between Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport and Port Bouet Airport Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
