As the first U.S. airline to celebrate its centennial, Delta is honoring the dedication and spirit of the people who propelled the company through a century of flight with the newly renovated Delta Flight Museum.
Officially opening Monday, April 7, the vast hangars-turned exhibit and event space captures the airline's unique culture and people-first values, ensuring the stories of Delta’s first 100 years will forever be etched into history.
Visitors and event goers alike can immerse themselves firsthand in the Delta culture through multiple interactive exhibits. The brand-new ‘Delta Connects You’ experience features an immersive extended reality stage demonstrating Delta’s ability to bring people together through different cultures and ideas.

Since its inception in 1995, the Delta Flight Museum has invited visitors from around the world to explore aviation history, celebrate the story and people of Delta, and discover the future of flight.
The Museum was renovated with the aviation enthusiast and unique event venue seeker in mind, with availability to rent out the space for all kinds of special events, including business meetings, conferences and even weddings.
The Museum is positioned at the heart of the airline’s headquarters in its Atlanta hub, giving visitors a front row seat to both the airline’s legacy and future.
“The Delta Flight Museum is widely known to our employees and the community as Delta’s true home,” said Kelley Moore, Executive Director of Delta Flight Museum. “While the museum always offered a close-up look at our aircraft and artifacts, the newly reimagined experience and interactive exhibits allow us to truly showcase the humanity of Delta and the people who made it all possible.”

Over a year in the making, the planning and renovation process included a full refresh of the two hangars, from planning new exhibits, scanning archival images and conserving artifacts destined for display. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, renovation funding was provided by The Delta Air Lines Foundation as well as generous gifts from Delta Air Lines employees, retirees and friends of the Museum.
Conserving memorabilia from Delta’s 100-year history is no simple task; Delta’s history includes more than 40 airlines and five major mergers Director of Archives, Marie Force, is passionate about preserving and displaying all sorts of artifacts, including model aircraft, employee uniforms and even old engine parts.
“An archivist is a hub of connections and at Delta, I am part of connecting people to our ‘Delta Difference’ culture,” said Force. “Preserving and sharing Delta’s history is critical – not just to honor our past but to inspire the future of aviation professionals.”

The Delta Flight Museum is proud to support many community events. Inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals is paramount to the Museum’s mission – a variety of the new Museum exhibits bring visibility to a wide range of aviation careers, including aircraft maintenance technicians, flight attendants and pilots. The Museum also hosts numerous school field trips and young-learner events throughout the year.
The renovation of Delta Flight Museum was supported by Imagine (previously Imagine Exhibitions) for the design and creation of the space. An Atlanta-based company, Imagine specializes in designing and producing world-class exhibitions and attractions.
